Tip of the Month: MS Outlook – Set Reminders to Act on Messages

Many of us spend a great deal of time in MS Outlook and are always looking for ways to be more efficient.

Reminders, which are extremely easy to set up, are one of the most underutilized functions. To set up a reminder having to do with any message, which will be visible in your Inbox to act upon, right-click on the message for which you want to set the reminder. Next, select Follow Up and insert the Due By date and time. When you click OK, the message will be flagged, and you will be reminded of the follow up on the date and time you indicated.

To clear the flag, right click on the message and choose Clear Flag. Now, wasn’t that easy and isn’t it convenient and reassuring to know that important reminders won’t be overlooked?
